In this post i will show how to brute force gmail password using hydra in Kali Linux. Kali Linux comes with hydra tool. You need at least 2 Mb/s Internet connection to get successful in brute force. For Bruteforcing you will need a good wordlist to successfully crack the password, i will recommend you to use Rockyou.txt wordlist for best results. I am currently using Kali Linux .So Lets start without wasting any time.
First Turn On your Kali Linux and Open Hydra GUI ( Remember to open this tool in Graphical UI Mode ). Then in Target Tab use Single Target put value smtp.gmail.com and Port 465 and also use protocol smtp. Finally check use SSL, show attempts and Be Verbose. Please Uncheck Debug.
Now Click on Password tab and check username and type the victim's gmail address, then browse your wordlist.txt file and finally check Try Login as Password. You can take reference from the below image.
Finally go to Start Tab and Hit the start Button. Now Hydra will bruteforce gmail but remember that you will only get successful if the word list contains the victims password it totally depends on you luck. I would like to tell you that success rate of bruteforce is very less we can also say impossible. Sometimes Gmail may use Recaptcha to prevent brute force attacks so if it happens then i can say it is your bad luck. If you are facing any problem while using hydra to bruteforce gmail password or having any questions just comment below i will try my best to help you.
